I hadn't planned on compiling any C code today, but...

Re: DirecTV - 35 minutes later, a human answered, and I was able to cancel my service.

Honestly, if I wasn't already calling to cancel my service, this experience would have likely led me to... call and cancel my service.

Re: DirecTV - the real rub is that, when the automated system first routed me into the call queue, it sent me to the NFL Sunday Ticket customer service for some reason, and they picked up within 20 seconds. Unfortunately, the nice lady that answered explained that I needed to speak to someone in "retention", and transferred me to this never-ending hold.

Trying to cancel my DirecTV service. Been on hold for 20 minutes, during which I've heard "your call is very important to us" 10+ times (though not important enough to actually take my call) and have been told about how easy it is to use directv [dot] com at least 8 times (although you can't actually cancel your service there, so it doesn't help me much).

And still I wait...

Just updated my code site (https://git.itsericwoodward.com) to version 1.5.0. And let me just say how happy I've been with Gitea since I installed it: Dead simple to get running (per the instructions on their site), and I've had no problems with it since I first turned it on a couple of months ago. Check it out at https://gitea.io/

about how to decompress an `xz` file (via the `unxz` command alias) and how to generate a SHA256 sum (via the appropriately named `sha256sum` command).

One thing about playing I never could stomach; all the damn mountain climbing.
