Who's got 2 thumbs and is hosting his own Gitea instance running at https://git.itsericwoodward.com/?

THIS GUY!! 👍👍

[glances at clock]

And now, THIS GUY is going to bed.

Holy crap. Did I just actually succeed in migrating my Known install to another machine?!

Like, without corrupting it irreparably, or having to start all over??

BOW BEFORE ME, MORTALS!

Me, writing at 4:30am: "This is great! Look how the words flow from my fingers. I should write like this more often!"

Me, reading what I wrote the next morning: "Wait, what is this? What does this even mean? Did a chimpanzee get ahold of my keyboard last night?"

@hcs@pleroma.site I guess it's the set-theorizer / categorizer in me that thinks there should be abstract levels of naming (toots for Mastodon, posts for Pleroma) that should get more generic the further away from the software we get.

In the end, since it all works across ActivityPub, I guess the highest level, most generic term would be a "create activity".

@kensanata@octodon.social @alcinnz@floss.social IIRC, when I looked into it a few weeks ago, it still had the same issues, and I had actually assumed that the project had been abandoned, until I saw the same article.

@kensanata@octodon.social @alcinnz@floss.social I jumped in on another convo about this already, so please forgive the potential duplication in my posts, but...

I checked it out a couple of years ago, and thought it was a cool idea that still had some major issues to work out (like its reliance on browser certificates for user identity, and lack of good in-production implementations to use as references).

Me at 4:30am: This is great, I've stayed up so late tonight that I'm virtually guaranteed to sleep past 10 tomorrow. It'll feel like a real vacation!

My brain at 8:30am: ISN'T THERE SOMETHING CONSTRUCTIVE THAT YOU SHOULD BE DOING RIGHT NOW?

OK, I *think* I've got everything figured out to move the blog. Too bad it's bedtime, I guess I'll have to finish it tomorrow (I hope).
